Brian joined TKCK in late September 2009, and he will handle Connecticut workers’ compensation defense cases for insurers and employers.
Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in 1973, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1976. Upon graduation, Brian worked as General Counsel of The Insurance Crime Prevention Institute, where he was involved in all aspects of investigating and litigating insurance and corporate fraud. He then served as managing attorney for Liberty Mutual’s in-house litigation department, managing and overseeing staff attorneys handling both insurance defense and workers’ compensation defense litigation.
Since 1989, Brian has been a solo practitioner, concentrating solely on workers’ compensation defense cases throughout the entire State of Connecticut for insurers, employers, third party administrators and municipalities. Brian is designated as a Board Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist, a distinguished certification issued by the CBA to those demonstrating competency, experience and skill in the workers’ compensation arena.
Brian is a current member of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA), having served in the past as both Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the CBA for many years. He is a frequent lecturer and contributor to the CBA and other organizations on workers’ compensation issues.
