Nick joined TKCK as an associate attorney in 2013. Nick primarily handles workers’ compensation cases and he also assists with the firm’s Civil Litigation and General Liability Practice Group. Nick has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Prior to coming to TKCK, he worked at Travelers Insurance as both a Return to Work Case Manager in the Construction Market and an Investigative Case Manager. In addition to handling claims at Travelers, Nick mentored and trained new employees. He also regularly appeared for Travelers at the DIA for conciliations. He earlier worked for Cambridge Integrated Services.
Nick graduated from University of Massachusetts School of Law with his Juris Doctor in 2013, and from Salve Regina University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2007. While attending law school, Nick was a Dean’s Fellow and tutor to first and second year students. Nick is an active member of the MA Bar Association and frequently lectures to insurers and employers on workers’ compensation matters.
Nick is a contributory author of Chapter 10 of the LexisNexis Practice Guide: Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation (2014) on attorney’s fees, penalties, recoupment, fraud, enforcement, withdrawal of representation, and third party settlements.
