DEFENSE VERDICT
We are proud to announce that Attorneys Matthew Slater and William McGovern secured a full defense verdict in a high exposure premises liability case.
The Plaintiff, an elderly woman, was shopping at a retail store when a 60-pound sign and shelving apparatus crashed down on her while she was trying to retrieve an item from the shelf. Plaintiff alleged fractured teeth, a concussion with cognitive changes, facial bruising and lacerations, and ongoing cognitive dysfunction for years following the accident. Plaintiff’s alleged special damages were $230,000.00 plus an unspecified amount of pain and suffering and emotional distress.
After a four-day jury trial (and several hours of deliberation) in Middlesex Superior Court, the eight person jury returned a verdict in favor of our client.
